Android Update & Our First Review

Hi Raters, Team RateThis! here with the latest news...

We're excited to announce that the Android version is so close to being ready  that we will start co-mingling the beta version of RateThis! with the live iPhone version soon.   We're happy the iPhone version is live, but we're also grateful that the Android testing process is so easy. That said, it's not too late to be a beta tester for the Android version. Please send an email here if you're interested.

In other news, we just got our first video review! Please check it out here.  It's a small iPhone review website but we are ecstatic to have been profiled. We hope to have more press on other sites soon,  but in the meantime we could really use your help.  If you like RateThis!, please tell your friends and ask them to become Raters too. The more people using RateThis! the more fun it becomes. Sharing RateThis! with friends is easy, just click here and then click on 'Get This App', input your friends' email addresses and they will receive a direct link.

We would love to hear everyone's opinion about the app, so please leave us a comment below, or on our twitter or facebook page.  Thanks for all  your help and support. Happy Rating!

Celebration Time

Hi Raters! We hope you’ve been well since we last checked in. It’s been a time of celebration all over the world: the U.S. observed its independence on July 4th and the French theirs on the 14th. There’s another commemoration happening as well- CJS co-founders Fourat Janabi and Micheal Cook are together again to mark the release of their first app- RateThis!  This has been a long time coming, so it demands an in-person meeting. It’s easy to forget the value of face time in this digital world of ours, so don’t forget to take time to honor life’s special moments together. We hope to have some fun videos, interviews and Rates to show you when the revelry dies down. Until then, Happy Rating!

We're LIVE

Cookie Jar Solutions is excited to announce that its first app, RateThis!, is live and available for download for use on iOS devices. The app can be downloaded via the Apple app store. RateThis! is designed to simplify the decision making process and make it much more exciting.

RateThis! is a new type of app based on socially interactive media. It allows the user to simplify the decision making process by crowd sourcing society. RateThis! expands on the concept behind polling sites like Hot or Not by permitting users to compare more than just people. People have a wide variety of categories into which they can post their Rates. CJS aims to expand the concept and usage of socially interactive media to add value, simplicity and fun to the lives of people.

People benefit from RateThis! by using the wisdom and opinion of crowds to help make decisions. Can’t decide whether to vacation in the Cook Islands or Fiji? Unable to choose whether you should buy a Mini Cooper or a Fiat 500? Want to know who is the front-runner in the next election? RateThis! can help answer all these questions and more.

CJS plans to release RateThis! on other platforms soon. Android will be the next release, followed by Windows Phone 7, WebOS and the Web. RateThis! is poised to become the one stop polling station of the future by providing real-time feedback on all of society's issues. The only limit is the world’s imagination.

The End of Beta

Hello, Raters!  We are so excited to announce that we are finally at the end of beta testing. It’s been a long 2 ½ months, during which we rooted out many bugs and added lots of fun new features. We have just submitted the build to Apple and are eagerly awaiting their response. We’re hoping that Apple reacts as enthusiastically as our beta testers did. Our beta testers have all told us the same thing; the app is addictive and simple to use. We have high hopes for it once it’s unleashed.

We are still working on the Android version and are about to begin our first round of beta on that platform. Developing for Android involves fewer restrictions, so we aren’t limited to 100 beta testers and we don’t have to collect anyone’s unique phone identifiers to authorize the app. We can freely share the app with anyone who would like to help us out with testing or just likes having advanced copies of apps. If you are interested in helping us beta test on Android, drop us a line and it’s as good as done.

Thanks for following our story, Raters. We hope to have many new exciting developments to share with you soon. Until then, happy Rating!
